Camping Weekend - Llanthony Priory (First event of Summer Programme) Fri 4th/Sat 5th June TBC Llanthony Priory is a partly ruined former Augustinian priory in the secluded Vale of Ewyas, a steep sided - once glaciated - valley within the Black Mountains area of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Dave is hosting a troupe of happy campers on the Friday and Saturday nights, and leading a walk in this spectacular area on Saturday. Brecon Beacons Horseshoe Sun 12th Sept 930 This walk, which includes the three main peaks of the Brecon Beacons, is arguably the finest mountain walk in South Wales and one of the best in the country. Tawe Trekkers Weekend Away - Black Mountains Fri 24th - Sun 26th Sept N/A Join us for a weekend of walkin, drinkin, and generally misbehavin at the wonderful Castle Inn near Talgarth; a pub which - by sheer coincidence - has a bunkhouse next door (or should that be the other way round?!). What to Bring on Walks: Walking boots, waterproofs, warm clothing (jeans are unsuitable for wet weather), food, water, money, spare shoes for use in other people's cars.
To become a member of the Tawe Trekkers, you need to join the Ramblers Association (stating your Group as Tawe Trekkers). Application forms available from Doug or join online at www.ramblers.org.uk
